Patna: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activists in Patna on Tuesday burnt the effigy of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tej Pratap Yadav for making threats to Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Party workers demanding immediate arrest of Tej Pratap, the elder son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife and former Chief Minister of Bihar Rabri Devi, saying the former Bihar Health Minister was a threat to the nation and should be dealt with an iron hand.
The BJP also lodged an FIR against Tej Pratap with the Sachivalaya police station saying people in Bihar felt threatened by Lalu's son because of his liking for violence and physical assault.
Earlier, Parvesh Sharma, a BJP legislator in Delhi, also filed an FIR against Tejaswi for threatening the Prime Minister.
"If my father is murdered who will be responsible for it? Do you think my father's life has no value and only the life of the Prime Minister is valuable? I will skin Narendra Modi" he had said.
Tej Pratap had also threatened Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi saying he would disrupt Modi's son's wedding on December 3 and will beat up the BJP leader in full view of his wedding guests.
Concerned about the security of his own, other family members, and guests, Modi changed the venue of his son's wedding from the Shakha Maidan in Rajendra Nagar to more secure premises of the Bihar Veterinary College.
