Patna: Known for his over-the-top rhetoric, Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Giriraj Singh on Friday described the victory of Kamarul Hoda, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) candidate who stunned his nearest rival and lone BJP candidate in the race Sweety Singh from Kishanganj constituency by a margin of over 10,000 votes, as a dangerous sign for the country.

Calling Hoda’s victory as a win for the ‘Jinnah Ideology’, Singh, on his Twitter feed, said his win was a threat to the social integrity.

"In the Bihar by-polls, the most dangerous election verdict has emerged from Kishanganj. Owaisi's party AIMIM has a Jinnah mindset. These people hate 'Vande Mataram' and are a threat to the social integrity of Bihar. People of Bihar should think about their future," Singh tweeted.

As reported before, for the first time since its inception, the AIMIM party has won a seat in Bihar sending a strong signal to the NDA that there may be a chink in its armor.

While the lone BJP candidate Sweety Singh lost to Hoda by a good margin, three of the four Janata Dal – U candidates also lost their bid to non-NDA parties in the Bihar by-polls.
