Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejaswi Yadav on Saturday celebrated his 30th birthday on Saturday in the presence of his elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav and other party leaders.
The former Deputy Chief Minister celebrated his birthday with a 30-pound cake at the party office.
Yadav thanked his well-wishers and asked them not to compromise with principles the RJD believed in.
Taking a shot at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the leader of the opposition in the state Assembly said that when the RJD won more seats in Bihar in the last Assembly elections, everyone said that it won because Nitish Kumar was the face of the Grand Alliance.
"If elections were won in the name of Nitish Kumar then why did the JD-U lose three out of the four seats in the recent by-elections?" Yadav asked.
It may be recalled the RJD candidates wrestled back two seats from the JD-U in the by-election held recently when after Zafar Alam and Ramdeo Yadav defeated their JD-U rivals Dr. Arun Kumar from Bakhtiarpur and Laldhari from Belhar respectively.
Yadav, on the media reports of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi considering leaving the Mahagathbandhan and going back to the NDA, said that Manjhi was an integral part and a 'guardian' of the Grand Alliance and was not going anywhere despite report to the contrary.
Those present on the occasion included party state president Ramchandra Purvey, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, Tanveer Hasan, Bhola Yadav and others.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
