  • 5 medium-sized potatoes
  • 3 tomatoes, large
  • 1 onion, large
  • 1 cup(s) grated coconut
  • 1 tablespoon(s) ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon(s) chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon(s) coriander powder
  • 1 pinch(es) turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon(s) salt, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoon(s) cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon(s) boiled milk

Aloo Tamatar Sukhi Sabzi Directions

  1. Chop potatoes into small cubes after removing peeling.
  2. Chop onions and tomatoes into small pieces.
  3. Grind grated coconut into smooth paste.
  4. Heat oil in a nonstick pan and fry ginger-garlic paste.
  5. When the paste turns brown, add chopped onions.
  6. After the onions are fried, add chopped potatoes and haldi.
  7. Fry for some time on low heat.
  8. When the potatoes become semi-soft, add the chopped tomatoes, chili powder and salt and a glass of water, cover and cook until potatoes are fully cooked.
  9. Then add coconut paste and milk.
  10. Cook on low for 5 minute or until the coconut paste and milk are heated through, then add dhaniya powder. Cook for a couple of minutes more.
  11. Mix gently and Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve.
