Patna: With family turmoil taking the center stage in the Lalu household involving an ongoing divorce proceeding between Tej Pratap Yadav and his wife of barely six months Aishwarya Rai; RJD president himself in prison in connection with fodder scam; and the ongoing power tussle between the two brothers in the absence of their father, another political family in Bihar seems to be having its own sets of problems that only promises to get worse by the day.
Asha Paswan, the daughter of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, after chastising her own father a day ago over his recent comment on Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, sat on a dharna in front of the party headquarters near Patna Airport demanding an unconditional apology from the Union Minister.
As reported, the LJP chief, in describing Rabri Devi a few days ago, had called her ‘Angootha Chhap’, or an illiterate, ruffling a few feathers in the RJD household while also igniting a feud in his own family.
Dozens of Rabri supporters led by Paswan’s daughter sat on the dharna with anti-Ram Vilas Paswan placards in their hands demanding apology from him saying Paswan not only insulted Rabri Devi but all uneducated women of India.
“My father must take his words back and apologize to Rabri Devi,” Asha Paswan said.
Notably, Asha Devi is the daughter of Paswan from his first wife Raj Kumari Devi and is the half-sister of LJP leader and MP from Jamui Chirag Paswan. She is married to Anil Sadhu, an RJD leader with close ties to the Lalu family.
